In co-operation with local government,
AsiaLink partners have established
literacy classes in needy areas
throughout Mongolia. New classes
begin every year. Costs are shared
with the local government which
provides buildings, covers maintenance
costs and provides some of the
teachers. These are critical tools
in opening up communities where
there is no current Christian witness.
As part of that overall budget, an amount of £2500 per month for twelve months is required to help provide basic uniforms and shoes, stationery and meals for the children to attend schools. It is with this particular aspect of the program that we are interested in helping. This amount meets the need of the 500 pupils at a cost of just under £5 per child per year. More…

AsiaLink partners are working in
20 villages around Krishna. Children's
ministries aim to relieve poverty
and hardship among orphans through
clothing, food and basic education.
There are around 60 children being
educated at the Christian school. More…
Suggested amount: £20 provides one orphan with food, shelter and school books for one month.
Kashmir is trying its best to come
out from under the shadow of militant
Islam. Women, however, remain largely
under-utilized, untrained and do
not venture out. Our partners have
trained more then 170 girls in the
past three years in sewing and tailoring.
Now, additional teaching is being
given in the use of computers as
they become critical to finding employment.
Each computer costs £400 and
ten are required immediately for
training workshops. More…
