Project
Update - Kashmir (Autumn 2003)
No more than a few hundred Christians
live among the four million Kashmiri
people high in the mountains bordered
by Afghanistan, China, Tibet, India
and Pakistan. Almost all Kashmiris
here have never heard the Good News
of Jesus Christ and yet we find a
tremendous interest from those who
are presented with the Gospel. We
are grateful to AsiaLink friends
who have supplied hundreds of correspondence
courses costing just £1 each
which have led to a life changing
experience for many Kashmiri Muslims.
Follow-up ministry includes seekers’ seminars
and we have a report from the ministry
leader of the most recent one. The
authorities are opposed to Christianity
and anyone meeting in this way knows
the personal risks involved. |
